Are your rear inner lips rough or smooth?

Hi all-out washing the zed this morning i noticed i have one smooth (passenger side) and one rough (driver side) -car was HPI checked and i cant believe it left the factory like this

What's a rear inner lip :?

Rear wheel arches just on the narrow lip.

Saw the subject and almost said something about chap stick or lip ice...
BTW, mine are both rough. Has always bothered me that you have smooth plastic on each side and then this crappy metal piece in between.

Both rough on mine so I think yours may have had some paint. HPI will only show up finance issues and write offs. If it has been painted and painted well, there's no need to worry.

I have one rough, one smooth. Just noticed this yesterday while detailing the car (attempting to) .

Well after a pm from Andy-it seems i am alone in having different feeling rear arch lips -looks like i may have had paint done after all
