Quite obviously, I hope & expect that no member of this prestigious forum ever would drink and drive.
But I am posting this video to all the people (not that I class them as people) scum :chairfight: :rcard: :violent1: that do take the risk, those that do think it’s OK to take other people’s lives when they can’t be bothered to take a cab or just walk.

I mean really, do you drink and:-
(a) Walk home
(b) Get a cab, bus or a lift
(c) Kill an innocent person * / child */ family *
*Delete as appropriate

It’s clear - DRINK DRIVERS ARE KILLERS & they should be prosecuted for murder-

REMEMBER - if you are driving- EVEN ONE DRINK IS TOO MANY

PLEASE- For everyones sake - drive safely this Christmas

Hi -Yes Thanks AlanJ, sorry for repost, however, as that post was dead a week ago I wanted (with only 11 days to go to Christmas) to bring it alive again to make sure more people see it, it's an important point, is that OK?

Anyone even thinking of doing so is just dumb but the most sensible advice is to remember not to drive the next morning either as that's just as bad. Anyway i had my office party last week, got the girlfriend to pick me up in the M, so i was drunk in the zed but not driving. That's a winning strategy!

Could have just bumped the other thread, not that the message isn't important but I don't need two threads with the same content in the same week to remember not to drink and drive. I don't need one thread in all honestly, as it's not something I'd ever consider.

jesus, that video is grim, but if thats what it takes to get the message across then why arent these ads on normal tv. Certainly make people think twice !......

Just as important is walking while drunk, seriously. I forget the exact figures but a significant %age of pedestrians involved in RTAs are found to be under the influence.

oh and turn that bloody phone off as well... :(

the phone think really does annoy me. what i dont understand is anybody can slightly go over the speed limit by accident and get 3 points. If you are using your phone which you cannot use by accident lets face it, you also get 3 points?............the fine & points should be far greater. if i had 20 quid every time i see somebody driving whilst on the phone on my 12mile commute to and from work, i wouldn't have to work.

i passed some tool yesterday driving literally 15mph on a dual carriageway holding up traffic whilst he was deep in conversation. Im not being sexist, but it also seems to be the majority of women who use the phone whilst driving.

I believe that we (in Alberta, Canada) are one of the last, if not the last province to pass a law against using handheld devices whilst driving. It's not quite targeting "handhelds" but is something to do with "distracted driving". It isn't in force yet but should be soon.....not soon enough IMO.
As for the drunks on the road, it's Pepsi all night for me so I can take evasive action when one of the drunken idiots is near ( the GF swigs the wine bottle so I get to be the designated driver most times) .

Just be extra careful folks, we can't fix stupidity with laws .....

+1 :headbang:

+2.

From a daily view, the following are almost guaranteed the worst offenders:

1. Girls of about 17 - 23 (never really see boys doing this).
2. White van man with a mobile glued to his ear (no BT kit in the car ???)
3. Taxi drivers from Asian origin (again, why no BT kit in the car).

For the last group, I give them no tip what so ever when I use them.

Had my work xmas do last night, had several pints and drove back to the hotel. I don't drink, and so my pints were diet coke. I had a great time and woke up feeling fine this morning. I just couldn't get to sleep as I was brimmed with caffiene........ :D

Never understood why people take the car to the pub i always walk or bus/cab.

This prob with phones really fucks me off but whats worse is the amount of women drivers that text while driving :headbang: :headbang: dont get me wrong girls as none of the women in my family do this its i see so many on the way home from work while waiting for busses.

This time of year my car stays on the drive to many idiots out there

Drink Drivers
Van man trying to get all his drops done
Mum+Dad arguing over little Timmys Buzz Light year prezzie not looking where they are going :x

My late father always said to me never drive on xmas eve and he was spot on its chaos all the idiots who leave everything to the last moment tearing around
