Are you brave enough to help?

So, I have a 2003 with factory fitted xenons. Obviously they have orange repeaters.

I also own a set of facelift lights and have a grand plan to do the swap that many have done to de-ginger.

The thing is, I'm not brave enough to start cutting up my xenons alone, having never tried it before.

So I was wondering if anyone within striking distance of North Hampshire who has successfully done this before is willing and able to help a fellow forum buddy in doing this.

Happy to pay in beer, food, friendship etc :D

If anyone is up for it, let me know and we can have a chat.

Thanks, Stu

sub'd because i'm interested in learning how to do it to mine headlights as well. I hate that not only is it gingered but its the entire length of the headlight as well.

If I was closer I would gladly help, I have (stupidly) done it twice. Once to de-dinger and then once again when the led lights turned up from the US, 2 weeks later.

The splitting/cutting is a PITA, as the lens is really hard plastic and the back bit is really brittle. You really need a dremel (with lots of spare cutting blades) and patience. I budgeted a few hours but it took a whole day.

If you were closer to Worcester I would gladly help.

Have you got sat nav? As I have upgraded my xenons from pre-facelift to facelift on an 03. You can only do this if you have sat nav and an Intravee, otherwise it's a cut open job.
