I posted a question in the "new z4" section yesterday asking if anyone knew which model had the fastest 0-60 time. "Smokin" replies - "you guys are mad into your 0-60" so i tought "we need a poll" - please choose which car - A or B appeals to your more

B. In this purely theoretical example car A will be at redline when cruising at 70mph and will do you head in

I would however trade ultimate top speed for a closer stacked ratios in the gearbox and faster accelerating differential. It would be easier to reduce car B's 0-60 sprint time than to increase car A's top speed while retaining acceptable acceleration.

i'd take 3 seconds and 60 to be honest, it funny to see the difference among everyone 50 / 50 at the mo

What about 30-70 speeds? ;-)

Id take B, as after all, most corners you can make it around at more than 50/60 mph, so that doesnt leave you much for accelerating out!

B.

I never drive on the track, so I hardly ever get to use maximum 0-60mph acceleration, and the difference between these two cars 30-60mph would be marginal. Any car that can crack 200mph will rip the tyres off 60-90mph, which is where I use the power, so that's the one for me.

Strange question..............but i'm more 'A' as i prefer acceration. 8) That's why i have the R1.

I tend toward B. I'd rather have good midrange acceleration as I use that more in the real world--passing people and accelerating out of trouble. If you were to have someone ride with you and secretly time your starts, you'd be surprised at just how long it takes **in the real world**. No one peals out everytime and I'd guess most of us take 3X more time than "a" on a regular basis.

In this example I'll take B, but if A could just get to 110-120 that would be fine with me.

Since my M is not a dedicated track car, I don't think I will ever experience anything >100MPH behind the wheel ( OK... I may have possibly experienced it a few times while driving sorta) on the streets. Around here anything over 80 means $150+ ticket. So I'll gladly take A :)
