Are wind deflectors worth the investment?

X2 :wink: It's actually a roadster with an optional "really big sun roof".

now the truth must come out....all the macho posing aside from the "No deflector crowd", when the long legged lovely in the passenger seat says "put the windows up and where's the wind deflector?, why isn't it in? ". We all know it's so much easier to fork out sacks of cash and get a deflector than to bleed through the ears and suffer for weeks simply because her hair is getting messed up......

I like my deflector, my hair doesn't get messed up either...

Wind deflector makes loads of difference even with the windows down. It reduces the turbulence significantly! Try putting something in the passenger seat like a newspaper and see the difference it makes!

The deflector makes a massive difference on any high speed top down runs, I guess not fitting it is a good way of keeping your speed down.... Not for me, I prefer speed and comfort!

But there is a difference between a howling gale and comfortable open air motoring - of course this then gives you 3 choices with a roadster:

1. Open air motorng no deflector - howling gale.
2. Open air motoring with deflector - a positive joy.
3. Top up and nice and cozy when it rains.

Now what choices has the Coupe got:

1. Top up
2. Top up
3. Top up
4. Top up..........

I'd say not....... tried it with and without. Even with the seat lowered it doesn't seem to make much difference except.....maybe its a bit less noisy on the motorway but better to put the roof up in that case. Especially when you put your foot to the floor, stops everything been sucked out (empty crisp packets, magazine junk etc....)as though you were at warp 10 in outer space.
