Are the wheel bearings gold plated?

£210 inc for a BMW front nearside wheel bearing! (£178 at Sopers with forum discount). Does this sound about right? I had to sit down when he told me!

Thanks for that, that's a bit better. just a bit concerned when buying on ebay that I don't end up with anything Chinese as their stuff seems a bit hit and miss in general.

Best thing to do is find out which company manufacture the OEM bearings and then search for them online, rather than pay inflated BMW prices.

i'm sure BMW won't be making their own wheel bearings.
