Manual would make it more valuable though?

Maybe in 50 years..... DCT was much more expensive.

An E85/E86 was more expensive with an automatic, but worth less second hand.

Was unaware of this, probably due to the difference between old automatic transmissions and new dct autos that surpass manual performance?

I suspect it’s got more to do with the driving satisfaction of manual gear changes rather than the actual speed of the auto’s cog changing?

The car linked looks worth a peep if interested .
Not suddenly become cheap, 35s on Se spec have been for sale last 12 months at similar money/ miles . A member on here traded his for similar with a lot less miles (DSB)
On black I wouldn't fuss for Msport bumpers as they aren't as obvious (jmo)
Spec looks good , be a nice place to burn fuel

Is manual not a good thing and 77k isn't big for 8 years.

I have to agree that Manual is a positive for enthusiasts, Z4's have quite a following with people who just like the idea of driving with the top down in a flashy looking two seater however and having an easy life which is where DCT's come in. As for the miles, you are right but in this country we seem obsessed by fear of "high" miles, hit 100k and you wont be able to give it away, things so wear out with higher miles but low miles brings its own problems too, at this price it seems like worth a punt.

I loved my S2000 for the manual box as it has a very very good box, but bought the 35i DCT which I also really like, great having the option to manual shift or auto.
So best of both worlds in my opinion

Re the miles - the only issue is if you want warranty. The warranty companies deduct huge percentages for any mile over 65k. When my first X5 reached 65k, it was 5 years and the year % as well as the mileage one meant that I was only ever going to be covered for 40% of the cost, and that excluded the fixed cost deductable as well.

That’s true if you’re an enthusiast and know the particular model well though Paul. I agree with Keith, rightly or wrongly there is an invisible wall at 100k that broken through cars are pretty much worthless, it really narrows your market down if you’re selling.

I remember when my Z4MC reached 80k and BMW emailed me a quote to continue warranty..

Just £3200 a year..

Jokers...

Well said, DRIVE the car dont let a robot with flappy ears do it for you. Specs I have read quote DCT cars as slightly slower on acceleration also!!
