Are sports seats any more supportive/comfortable

I find the standard leather seats uncomfortable, there is no support near my shoulders. The seats are standard manual leather, I have found second hand sports seats available for sale but they are expensive.
Do my seats just need to be re-padding or is this how they're meant to be?

I've had experience of both and can say sports seats are definitely more comfortable, I went from sports seats to standard seats (a compromise I made when trading in my 2.0 with M sport seats for a 3.0 si with standard leather seats). If I had the cash and could find them I'd buy a set of M Sport seats tomorrow.

Erm - unless you don't have a sports shaped and sized 'seat' . . . . .in all seriousness, if you have wide thighs and a big behind then you might find the sports seats a bit tight.

:driving:

I'm small and less than 11 stone so it sounds like sports seats are for me :D All I have to do is find some.

I'm not, and find they're fine for the "larger real-estate". So don't worry if you become a lardy-arse as you wont need to move them on

Ditto, I like the way my lardy ass wedges into the seat - very supportive. I am guessing my bolsters may take offence over time, but I try to sit with my legs closer together rather than resting on the sides.

Only thing is say is that it took me a while to find the most comfortable position, so electric/memory seats are ideal. And sitting closer to the steering wheel than you think you should helps too. You should be able to at least almost break your wrists over the top of the steering wheel when sitting back in the seat.

Massive improvement over standard. Hard to see how folks stay in the seat on the twisty stuff on standard seats, but they are so much more comfortable for longer drives too.

Retrofitted them in mine years ago and never regretted it once.

This is true I always feel like i am going to slide out of mine. Cant believe they made seats like the standard ones for a sports car!!! If you can find them and you can afford them the M sport seats are a great improvement op

I have only driven and sat in my Z, so can't comment on the sports seats, but I find the standard seat in my car is more than comfortable once you get it set right.
I'm hoping to pop down to see machine monkey this weekend, so will see if I can take a seat and feel the difference. :D
