Are sidelights push fit?

As per the subject really - just been changing over my sidelight bulbs for LED's and when putting back the first swopped over bulb, I expected the sidelight holder to twist and lock into position - but it doesn't. Checked the manual and it just refers to pulling out the bulb holder with refit being the reverse of removal - so are they just a push fit? Just want to check before I do the second and lose the remaining skin off the back of my knuckles...
 
IIRC you have to push in and twist... But they are awkward f*ckers to get back in, and there seems to be nothing to stop you twisting it past the 'locking' point.
 
Thanks Bing - I did try twisting, but as you say there was no obvious point at which the bulb holder felt like it had hit any kind of a stop. God forbid I have to take it out again - bloody fiddly job! Just the passenger side to do now then...
