ARE 'M' CARS OVERRATED AND OVER PRICED?

it is not about badges, appearance or whatever.... Usain Bolt could do the 100 in a tutu and win... it is what is under the bonnet that matters... he has performance to make it count and bar a few obvious others and more extreme most cars struggle to match the Z4M price/performance spec. Those that know, know; those that don't, don't.

Not overrated nor overpriced, the only thing is it right for YOU. When I was shopping to buy, the Si made more sense and I'm loving it. That said, I may buy a used M3 to add to the Z4SiCoupe I already have. For ME, the $1000 gas guzzler tax didn't give me enough gain to warrant it. If I tracked my car, however, different story.

Just the sound of my Z4MC does it for me.

What I find with M cars is that there are only subtle differences in panels etc... but all them little bits add up.

People who don't know about M cars just know it looks that extra little bit special but can't pin point what has been changed (apart from the four exhausts) :D

M cars are fantastic and if you can't afford one just buy a load of M style badges and stick them on your motor - nobody will know the difference.....http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13276 :fuelfire:

When i started this topic I just wanted to know what people felt and their experiences. I got my MR for a bargain. Bought it last december for £21k. its 06 plate with all extras. Of course i lost a lot on my 2.5i- very poorly priced on px. I'mhappy and gald and never looked back since. I cant think of a suitable replacement for it unless a new Z4M comes(if it comes). I'm enjoying :driving: :driving:

I paid £21000 for a 56 plate Z4MCfuly loaded 6 months ago from a BMW dealer with 22000 miles on the clock. I'm hoping its worth more than that now. :)
