Im getting my gen. wheels refurbed and stove enameled in gloss black, ive seen new centre hub caps in carbon fibre on eBay stating they are genuine BMW... have they ever made these?!

many thanks in advance

Don't think any of them are 'real' as BMW only make the blue/white ones. Having said that, alot of people use them anyway as the repros are generally very well made. I have black/white ones on my zed and they look superb!

All carbon fibre badges are not OEM. I think the only real OEM carbon fibre items are keyring, rear diffuser (E85/E86), and front splitter (E89).

The carbon ones may not be genuine.. but all except the bonnet ones fit perfectly on mine.

Wheres the best place to buy? Theres hundreds on eBay but does anyone have a specific contact that can supply a full set (wheel caps, bonnet, boot, 2 sides and steering wheel). Do the old ones come off easy?

I did a full replace-job on my black e46 - wheel caps, front, rear and s.wheel.

As my Z is midnight blue, the black clashes, so I've only put the wheel caps on and sold the other badges.
They may not be genuine BMW, but the quality of the ones I bought from the US (on eBay) were as close to OEM as you could get...

my Z4 has all badges in black,,,, including all alloys, steering wheel and key.
it also has white back lights (indicator and 3rd break light) ... not sure if these are extras that original first owner requested as extras ?

I very much doubt that bmw wouldl put black badges on as standard they are alll probably aftermarket put on by the first owner

most he badges for less than £20 on ebay are replicas they don't last long before they fade or fall off ive had a few sets over the years I never learn. The reason why a genuine badge is £20+ it last many years longer
