Are BMW about to announce a new Z4 coupe…

At least that grill fixes the front end!

For a start it's brown!
Second it looks like a G21 touring welded onto a G29.
Then you have the stitching inside!
And people say the Supra looks bad?? Seriously? Not compared to that abomination.
BUT the wheels look very Alpina 'Dynamic' esque which is never a bad thing.

True to the Bread van heritage it will appeal to some but not most. Though I liked the look of the original from the off, don't find this one very appealing. The wheels, especially on the rear, look two inches too large for my eye. The front is ok. The back is OK. The roof is nowhere. not elegant like a double bubble not practical. The interior reminds my of a set from Space 1999. In a word I think it's bland. 
I thought they couldn't ever surpass the ugliness of the breadvan/ clownshoe.

I know the Z3 coupe is quite popular with folk on here, but they were ugly as f...!
Of course if they make it and call it an 'M' version it will sell, probably in it's 10s. Looks like they might be nodding toward that with the 'Alpina' style wheels. There ain't gonna be anymore Alps now BMW own the brand outright so maybe it could be an Alpina AND an M?

Well I think it looks great! Totally different to anything else on the road today including the stitched interior and I do like shooting brakes / breadvan call what you like. BMW should put into production. Kind of reminds me of the Ferrari GT4C Lusso, that's never a bad thing. 
Wonder if they'll offer a 'sardine can' version where you can slide or roll a soft top into the back?
Would give me the opportunity to take a spare set of track wheels instead of driving to track with them on...and more space for any gamey roadkill I can find. Might make a mess of the leather trim though

The side profile reminds me of a Reliant Scimitar and the baseball stitching is from the mk 1 tt.Silverstar said:Well I think it looks great! For some reason the Alfa Brera was the first car that sprung to mind until I Googled a pic :lol:
Make the most of it I say, in a few years these cars will have all the appeal of a fridge or washing machine without the heart of an engine
I'd buy two, squirrel one away and use the other

Yeh with you on this. Manual, full fat M version… I think it looks amazing from the back. Average from the front, and unusual from the side - especially the rear pillar. And physical dials! Bring back tactile switchgear… like Porsche.
Have a feeling they’ll make these for the rich few… but not mass production. I’m sure there’s plenty of collectors out there who’ll want to buy. As for us regular folk… like a few people have said, better options out there - at the price point they’ll most likely sell this at.
