Are Accelera tyres any good?

Youve waited so long Andy why spoil a nice set of shoes for a few extra ££
Price up the difference to sort your own half decent rubber

Hi all as above -looking at csl type alloy and tyre packages-this is one of the brands quoted, thanks

They're pretty good if you want to find the first ditch when you ask something of them..

All such non brands belong on city centre runabout with no money to invest in them, not a high performance RWD sports car

Get some decent tyres for a few ££'s extra, be safe and save in the long run as they will wear much better

I have had them on wheel/tyre packages....

The old ones where shocking, but the new PHI range seem fairly good at there price point....

Depends on savings bet Uniroyal rainsport,Hankook Ventus and Vreds are all excellent....But dare say double the costs ?

They are a budget range. I have used them on daily runners (19"'s)
My son uses them on his T5 transporter with 20" rims as they are very good value but he is on a budget.
More suited to summer conditions.
As above I would spec better quality when buying the wheels

I have them on the front wheels of mine, and cant really knock them. Didn't really want to put them on but when I was getting my rears done the fitter said I had some uneven wear on one of my fronts... This was just before I was about to set of on my european road trip at the end of the summer, and the tyre fitter who is a amate of mine said that he would just stick a part worn on to swap the worn front tyre and then change both when i got back, so i ordered a part worn, it came just before I was about to set off and was pretty crap so the accleras were the only ones I could get for less than £300 for the pair at very short notice. I took a punt and they have been fine through the winter so cant complain

They were on a slk I bought last year , as above , can't really knock them in the dry , but they weren't great in the wet on the rear .
That said I did bin them as the fronts were done and I was doing a Europe trip including the ring , better safe than sorry !

I had Falkens on my coupe....

They were the noisiest tyres i have ever heard,i was convinced the wheel bearings were worn. I swapped the wheels and tyres anyway and the noise disappeared ...

Personally i dont rate them.

Tyreleader is great in my experience - cracking price for a set of Goodyear Eagle f1 Assymetric 2s recently - pleeeease don't skimp on the tyres on your new alloys!

I can attest to the difference between budgets and premiums make to the Z4.

Slightly wet day going round around an island at like 20mph tops and the back end starts slipping out in my old 2.0 roadster.

absolutely buy the best tyres you can afford.
