Arch liner issue

Hi all,

I have had excessive rubbing on the plastic arch liners on the rear.

The car has 19"CSL's with spacers which I have no intention of changing to stop the scrubbing instead the rear arches will be rolled

I rear that a few people have cut the plastic areas of the arch liner where the tyre was rubbing which I have also done. However now I feel the inner arch is left unprotected from the elements. What have others done to stop any road dirt etc get above the remaining arch liner/inner wing

All suggestions welcome :)
