ARB bushes

I've been dipping my front wheels and noticed that I could see daylight through the rubber bushes on my ARB :?

Is this because the car's jacked up?

I took the car into BMW and they replaced the droplinks but never mentioned anything about the ARB bushes.

Here's a couple of pics. Obviously the cars jacked up.

Look a bot tired, certainly will be if original. Split at the bottom should be there. Chuck some poly in and be done with them :)

But it looks that there's also a split at the top.
Have I got my cracks mixed up?

edit: seems I have; the rear ones have the split at the flat side, not the fronts
The 'split' at the top might also be a casting seam.
Still, they're very worn when light starts to shine through it  .

What poly bushes would you recommend?

For the ARB's you can just as well get strongflex (get the red shore80A ones).
Cheaper and same quality.
(I've had OEM, Powerflex AND strongflex front arb bushings)

Be sure to get the right diameter; sports suspension has a different thickness rollbar then standard suspension.

Do you know offhand what the diameter of the standard front ARB bushing are?

This is the strongflex page and it seems that the one bushing covers all diameters, or am I reading this wrong?

Should be 26/27 mm iirc, but get out and check with some calipers to be sure.

So, are these 'multi-size polybushes no good? Should they be 'bespoke' (In tailoring speak)?

Hold the press!!! I've just noticed a drop down box on the page linked below, there you choose your size.

I thought a one size fits all was a bit 'suspect'.

I thought it was 25 & 24 for sport and normal.

I haven't got a clue. I don't have calipers. Seems like some conflicting numbers coming in here. Anyone know for sure what the diameter of the 2003 E85 2.5i standard front ARB is?
