Something like £28 off dealer for the front brushes and £161 including fitting.

Anyone more mechanically savvy than myself fancy doing it for a more reasonable price / beer tokens :)?

These the front arb bushes? If so that's a mental price!

I haven't done a set yet myself but the guide on here makes it look easy, and I've done my lollipop bushes myself so how hard can it be?!

They are not difficult to do. I would say i would do them for you but i just dont have time. Unless you can wait a few weeks maybe a month?

i would have thought the most difficult thing would have been getting the car up in the air to get under and get the tray off?

Yup front arb brushes. I thought price was a bit amusing too

I am not in a particular rush just yet so may take you up on that MM.

Need to get hold of the dealership I brought it from first and enquire as to why one of my jacking points is missing :<

As Dom says jacking the car and MAKING sure its safe is the hardest part! you have to get right under the car! The under tray is simple enough 10mm socket (I think) And 7 screws. Are you just doing the ARB bushes? Is it not maybe wise to do the lollipops and drop links as well??? Then control arms track rod ends and where do you stop!!!!

Front ARB are a doddle to fit, i have changed mine and i also changed the drop links at the same time, it was an absolute doddle to do, a few nuts and bolts and thats it, the hardest thing when i did mine was cutting a slit in the polybushes but you wouldnt have this problem with OEM as they are pre cut.

Don't make my list of things to do longer MM! (Specially when I don't know what any of them are )

Currently awaiting for dealership to respond about whether or not they will do the brushes under AUC warranty, it is mileage and wear dependant.

If not will look to do it via someone or myself. Trying to avoid dragging my stepdad into another car related fix as I always get him to do it  or at least supervise...

If you are a complete novice and want to start doing a bit of spanner work on your car, fitting front ARBs or replacing the bushes is just about the easiest job to start with. Just make sure that you lift your car safely before you get underneath it.

I sure am :D

Maybe I'll look into doing it when the dealership don't fancy doing it under warranty for me then.

Sounds like BMW may cover it under warranty for me, in their words "I think we are fairly safe [to say warranty will cover] but do not promise".

At least dealership agreed to pay for me to get a new Jacking block fitted :) Seems I may avoid working on the car for a tiny bit longer!

Didn't cover them in the end, I will do it myself tomorrow and learm something about the underside of a car
:D

All went well, now just waiting for BMW to inform me that they will pay for the fact my strut brace mount has completely snapped off the body...

Only did the ARB brushes in the end this time.
