April 2008 Photo Competition Is Now Closed

A ton of artistic pics this month so far. Awesome job, everyone! :thumbsup:

One complaint, though... ROADSTER owners... why the hoods up? Let's see some top down action!!! Make me envious for not having a soft top! :D

I second Ricky Boobie - I love the pics.... so much so that I will probably be intimidated and not enter one :?

Ohhh Kay!

Only alteration was the black border, No adjustment of levels, after a fresh wax with Victorias Concours wax,
Love the shine that wax does to Imola Red!

Not from me this month - the whole thing is now so professional that until we have 2 sections for:

1) 'professional or similarily well excetuted, constructed and editted photos that belong in a magazine' and

2) 'simple half assed, point and shoot pictures that I thought were interesting, but nobody else will'

then entering just is futile.. :(

Just kiddin' - if I find a good one I'll post with no expectation of even a single vote

well cj my photo is no professional photo but i think it may do ok this month just give it a shot no matter what! and that goes for everyone, show your baby off, we didnt spend all that money for nothing!!! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

There definitely have been a step up of the quality of photos entered, no doubt (part of it is because we're getting better at taking photos, part of it because there ARE pro photographers.) But that shouldn't deter people from entering! I just see these threads as a monthly show-n-tell of our "something precious." If I was a lurker, I'd love to go through these monthly threads to get ideas of what Z4 I'd buy.

I don't really care about the votes anymore. I'm definitely no pro, but I've been trying some more artistic type photos. But obviously that hasn't gotten me anywhere nor any votes at all (see any months after my last win in December)! I had contemplated starting my own thread-diary, where I'd post a new pic every month (like I do with my sig pic changes). But I didn't want to steal the thunder of what I think this thread is really about, and it's about showcasing our rides.

So long as we follow the rules-portion of the contest (ie. photos taken by you, and within the allotted size parameters), I think every member should post a pic for pride. :thumbsup:

I did post to say I was kidding that at the end of my initial post

I will be entering something just case of seeing what I can find.

Votes - I don't give a damn if I ever get one, which of course probably now guarantees I won't... :rofl:

This months photo is titled 'Sinister' Capturing the look of the AE and reflections of trees in my favourite National Park - The Peak District

If I could use Photoshop I'd have made the gravel a bit greener... :wink:

That's a great shot...
I bet it would look really good with everything except the car darkened to almost black. Then it would indeed look sinister. Great reflections! :thumbsup:
 
This picture is brought to the forum free of animal cruelty or testing, also I used green friendly devlopment technology along with no photoshop manipulation. I would also like to say that my wife and I are pictured in the background and we are looking to save the whales and whatever sea life we can help. Oh and did I mention we are picking up trash on the beach and segregating it to recycle. So you see by voting for my natural picture you are also contributing to a cleaner enviorment. Disclaimer: No jobs were lost or shipped overseas during the photographs developmental process.
