Approved warranty

So almost a year as a Z4 owner and I can renew the approved BMW warranty, been quoted £537 with no excess to pay or £380 with £100 per claim.
What do people think, should I just take my chance and save my money for now. Just had inspection 2 with no extra work required. Is it worth it???

I just had nearly 6ks worth of work done, cost me £100

bargain, and the difference in price seems well worth the potential saving, go with the excess, I did :driving:

How old is your zed and whats the mileage?

Some will say bank the money you would have spent on a warranty and take a chance as the zeds are pretty bullet proof, others prefer to pay for a warranty just so that they can have peace of mind

Your choice really, or as Dirty Harry would say, "You feel lucky, punk"

Know your right really thanks willgill I've already had a new roof, wiper motor and air bag sensor, no brainer really but respect owners opinion on here :D

What was replaced for 6k?

abs/dsc pump and logic boards, car ECU, engine wiring loom (after electrical fire) and various assorted sensors which also blew up.

This would have been covered under insurance I would have thought if you had no warranty though.

BMW sent me a loan car on the side of the m6 toll road, took mine away to the dealer and i picked it back up two weeks later fixed

cost me £100

insurance/warranty - tomato/tomato I'm a happy camper
