Guilty as charged
Me too! There is someone on this Forum who uses the title ‘Gadgetman’. My wife would say that title would fit me perfectly. We are always buying some new gadget. The loft is full of items which didn’t cut the mustard. To date we have six coffee machines in the search for something easy to clean and use as well as supplying good coffee. I can cause HRH to have an attack of the vapours if I buy an edition of Whatcar. As soon as she sees it she knows ‘he’s looking for a new car’.

The lid is nailed on the box for a long time - so we should enjoy our time now!
And we definitely do! :D :D :D

I seriously have no idea what you guys are on about....linking this to that....is it really necessary...?? :?
The answer is yes and no! The health apps and functions are very useful to some of us but some of the other options aren’t essential but nice to have. Although I could live without them. As a man who spends a bob or two on cars simply for the pleasure of owning and driving them, you will understand that sometimes folk spend their hard earned cash on items that are nice to own but not absolutely essential to their lives. Does that make sense.

Oh indeed, makes perfect sense....I spend wayyyyyyy too much on things I don’t need, mainly cars....

The thing that set me off last was as I said in the earlier post in a roundabout way the amount of time people spend looking at their phones, at bowling last night a group of 8 or so came to the alley next to us, perfectly ok folk, but all but 2 just stood there scrolling up and down their bloody phones as soon as they got there, that’s all they did until someone kicked them in the shins to bowl, then they picked their phone up again and carried on in a blank stupid expression staring at god knows what on a screen. Can people not do anything nowadays without staring a damn screen...?? Quite frankly if I went out with a group of mates and that’s all they did I’d just bugger off home...

Couldn’t agree more. I am always in trouble from HRH for forgetting my phone. It lives on a charger in the kitchen and I rarely use it. We were recently on holiday in Madeira when we spotted a young family coming into the restaurant with their young son for a meal. I guess he was about eight years old. They sat on the next table to us. Throughout the meal the parents looked at their phones ignoring the boy completely. In forty five minutes we saw the mother speak to him once. The young man sat there like a zombie staring into space. To me that is a form of child neglect. and we wonder why young people grow up the way they do developing anti-social habits. I’ll get off my soap box now.
