New 5C, replacing the iPhone 5 in Apple's phone lineup. The new device is available in five different colors -- green, yellow, blue, white, and red -- in a polycarbonate design. The phone uses the same A6 processor and rear-facing camera as the iPhone 5.
The iPhone 5c is available for preorder this Friday, September 13, and will be available for $99 in 16GB and 32GB for $199 with a two-year contract.

Internally, the iPhone 5s will feature a 64-bit A7 processor that will be up to twice as fast at CPU tasks. Another significant new feature is a "Touch ID" capacitive fingerprint sensor built into the home button that's capable of scanning sub-epidermal skin layers. Touch ID can be used to unlock an iPhone and authorize iTunes purchases.
The rear camera in the iPhone 5s has have a new 5-element lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a sensor that is 15% larger than the one in the current iPhone 5, as well as a dual-LED "True Tone" flash that will adapt to the existing lighting to provide better colors and more accurate skin tones. Other new camera features include a burst mode capable of capturing 10 pictures per second and slow-motion 720p video capture at 120 frames per second.
The iPhone 5s will cost $199, $299, and $399 for the 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB models respectively with a 2-year contract. Non-contract pricing will be available at launch for $649/$749/$849. The iPhone 5s and the lower-cost iPhone 5c that was also announced today will be available in stores in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and the UK starting on September 20, with no pre-orders available for the iPhone 5s.

Yes lots of phones with Android sell big numbers world wide, the majority are lower spec cheaper phones tho. Obviously only the iPhone uses ISO there for it trails the others in sales, but in the Uk the iPhone was the best selling 'phone'.
Personally having used both android and various ISO's I wouldn't give up my iPhone in a hurry even if the new iPhone was not popular.
As its been said here by others, "it just works", it makes scenes! It integrates perfectly with my iMac and my iPad, my clock radio, our home stereo, my Xbox. I can FaceTime my wife & family most days (for FREE), its got the most App's, it works seamlessly with my iTunes that I've had for 10years now, over 30gig of music alone (not including films).
There really is NO alternative with out compromise.
I have used both, and like things better in both of them. I think Android's biggest plus is its customisation and the wealth of things you can do with the S4 and Note etc..
But I think iCloud on the iPhone is the best, as I works so well with Macs and iPads too...
I don't think one is better than the other, but I do think if Samsung upped their quality and made a steel and glass one, then there would be a lot more people buying them.

The main problem with your reasoning is that you're not comparing like with like... (more Apples with oranges :wink: )ESP said:

Large sales of a particular model of phone does not equate to the most popular operating system - this type of thing has happened before as I believe that, at one time, the iMac was the best-selling personal computer in the world but no-one would have claimed that Apple computers were more 'popular' (in terms of sales) than Windows computers but there were many, many brands of Windows computers sharing the vast majority of sales.
The rest of your post deals with personal preference for iOS over Android or Windows Phone and I don't have a problem with that as everyone is free to choose that which suits them best and this is not intended as 'dig' at Apple, the iPhone or iOS, I'm just pointing out why your argument is flawed when you equate best selling phones with OS popularity
all that power, but the screen is still tiny! 
I had every iphone upto the 4, but then i changed to galaxy s3 and then Note 2...... must admit ios 7 looks pretty cool and i love my ipad, but the iphone screen is too small by todays standards IMO. they need to offer other size options, not just options on if its plastic or metal!
i have an iphone 5 as my work phone and a note 2 as my personal phone, and i love the build quality of the iphone, but the functionality of the note 2. i find the iphone too small and fiddly by comparison. But its invaluable to me as its the only device i've got that plugs into my Intravee...

Sorry but I'm quite capable of setting a phone password, remember it and keeping it a secret - I don't need fingerprint recognition... although it's a neat feature - I wouldn't upgrade just for that.

But the difference is many hackers have software now that will relay anything you do on a device by hacking through your wifi. It will record your inputs real time so if your banking, basic stuff like your lock passwords etc will be relayed to them in real time on a screen so they can just log into your accounts without you knowing. They can control your cameras on devices and watch you etc
One thing that hit the news recently... Some guy got mugged in london, stole his laptop. The guy remotely logged into it without the thief knowing and turned on the camera and there he was watching some porn with his headphones on jacking away. GRIM!
Anyway....
Using a fingerprint is pretty much impossible and extremely intense to try and get hold of. Whether they follow you and take it off a glass etc then they have to have some way of recreating your fingerprint, but it may not work because the iphone scanner scans deep into the print, James Bond kind of stuff, or they physically make you, or cut off your hand... in 99% of occasions this will be too much for the average thief. Then get hold of your specific device. So with this in mind its a million times more secure than any password will ever be.
Its a great idea its simple, faster and more secure than using passwords.
