If you have never had an iPhone snap in then yes the original eject box needs to be replaced to accept the Apple iPhone 3/3Gs /iP4 snap in

original eject box was developed before Smart phones became popular hence problem with old one, much too narrow

to be honest if you need pics you probably to understand this you likely don't need one and as you are outside UK doubt the dealer will send he only had an allocation of 5

the iPhone4 snap in is
Standard cradle P/N- 84212199389

but note my comments re the eject box if not the updated one, the snap in will not fit

Give your Dealer your vin # and their systems should flag up any other part needed for the iP4 snap in.....ie an updated eject box possibly.
However if you already have a3/3GS snap in that is the updated one

Now thats interesting , got mine but it would not fit the eject box despite it being the updated one to take the 3G/GS snap in
I had to remove the "wings" at plug end to allow it to drop into eject box ....now it works what is your set up ??

Is this the new iPhone attachment that goes in place of Nav in dashboard and you can phone and use iTunes etc from it and wheel? Thought it was due in march sometime?

it is the iPhone4 custom holder to fit in the Factory fit Bluetooth set up in the drop down arm
Just a holder to connect iPhone to power and enhanced aerial signal

Bluntly guys if you don't know what it is you certainly don't need it

I doubt retro fitting BMW Bluetooth would be cost effective but if you search it has been covered several times
and the snap in is by far the cheapest part of the process

84212153098 is the eject box for the iphone 3G/3Gs snap in. plug n play.

BMW has not released a 3rd Eject box for the iphone4. My local dealer has no idea if they are going to.

Thats careless of them :roll:

However if you do get a iP4 snap in there are two thin "wings " at back of snap in at plug end that prevent the snap in dropping to plug in
I "dremelled" them off and it drops down and works fine ( in the 3G/3Gs box)
