Update on Apple iPhone4 Snap-in

Basically the snap in does not fit the Z4 even with the later iPhone 3G/S eject box
Fits the 120d fine but the Z4 eject box does not accept the snap in ..................unless you dremel off the 2 x wings on snap-in at rear
which allows it to drop into the eject box and make the connections
now in and working fine ....glad I bought a Dremel

What exactly is the snap in supposed to do? I spotted it in the BMW brochure and assumed it was some kind of way to link your ipod up to the stereo system but BMW have helpfully failed to provide any info on what its for!

Sounds like its best to steer clear!

as the subject suggests it is the custom holder for an iPhone4 as part of the factory fit bluetooth set up
Not wishing to be rude but if you don't know what it is you certainly don't need it
