I have been a PC user for years and have plenty of software for PC's. I would have to buy a lot of MAC software and with this in mind would you accept £310 for this?

This is with High Sierra (MacOS 10.13).

Then latest MacOS release is Catalina (MacOS 10.15)...BUT Catalina is very buggy, won't run 32-bit software, and glacially slow on anything without an SSD, so I'd not recommend upgrading to Catalina (or Mavericks 10.14 for that matter).

The only things you'd really miss out on are some expanded options for sharing content between other Apple devices (e.g. if you want to use your iPad as a 2nd screen, want to sync reminders, split iTunes into separate Music/TV/Books/apps, etc.).

4 out of 5 of my Apple devices are on the latest version of the OS, but the iMacs are all recent machines with fast SSDs, so you don't notice the slowdowns that Catalina introduced with the new APFS file system (actually introduced in the previous OS) as much, but my father's 2014 Mac Mini took about a minute to open Microsoft Word compared to 2 seconds for my 2015 iMac. His has since been upgraded to an SSD and a bot more RAM, but I'm still on the lookout for a good value space grey Mini for him.

Depends what software you want/need, as there's a load of free/low cost stuff available on the App Store.

You're also provided with some basic video/audio/photo editing/office software made by Apple (iPhoto, iDVD, Garageband, iMovie, iWork...which is Numbers (spreadsheets), Pages (documents), Keynote (presentations)).

If you have MS Office subscription on Windows, then you should be able to simply download it from the App Store and sign in.

The software is as up to date as you can get on this iMac. You cannot install either Mojave or Catalina. Let me know if you are still interested.

I have made an offer of £310 and I am happy to proceed if you are.

I’ll take £320 and include a Magic Trackpad, without the batteries though. 🙂

I currently run Mojave 10:14.6 and have been tempted to give into the prompts to upgrade but after reading this - I'm not!
added to that I still have my 32bit only Office Suite running

There have been 4 updates since Catalina was released. I am running 10.15.4 on my 2019 MacBook and have not had any problems. I have an Office 365 Personal subscription which costs me £5.99 a month. As you say if you are still running 32bit apps you are out of luck with Catalina.
