If I log onto the forum using my iPhone 5s ie username and password I stay logged on - if I use my iPad afterwards, I then need to input username and password again to access the forum on the phone.

The same happens if I use the ipad first and then the phone.

It didn't do this pre io 8.0.2

Have you set up iCloud Keychain? That's what Safari uses to sync passwords and the like across devices.

Chrome uses your Google account.

I am on 8.00 still, but get occasionally asked to log in - completely random.

No I havent !
Is it safe to use keychain? Are passwords stored on the device or in the cloud?

Safe? Well, if you have a good password, and don't share it with any other service, then probably as safe as any similar online service eg Microsoft Onedrive or Google.

mine all work fine and I use keychain


downloaded the U2 album onto the ipad (not the phone) and I keep getting 'unable to download' messages. Album downloaded though! Cant get rid of the message

not keen on ios8 at all
