Apple announcement

Nanosim arrived from O2 on Wednesday and phone arrived this morning - just in the process of setting it up!
 
Mines arriving between 2and 3 pm. I've had a text from 02 saying if cant connect to this and that then try this and that :|

Going by past experience, I'll keep it 3 days, and get bored and sell it. And revert to my Nokia 8800. Same with my Samsung Note and the new Tab 2 7.0, both gone......
 
Just got OS 6 on my iPad - is it me or has the input text on screen become 'finer' or smaller ? Seems to have as I am posting this :?

Ironic with the Bose dock in the back which is now useless for this phone :)
 
I got mine... love the new connector, makes the old one feel really clunky. I quite like the S3 as well, just a bit big for me. What I don't get is how upset some S3 owners get by the iPhone (and the iSheep "joke" is getting v.old now). Do these people also go around telling people their cars are crap and they have ugly kids?!
 
I think its just that some of us are amused (and confused) by all the excitment of a new phone being launched - also by how quickly one is to jump to the defence of any posts that are critical of the phone

I also think a few of you are in the wrong jobs - you would seem much happier and content? working in PR or customer service based role for apple

please dont commence any flag burning or riots from these blasphemous words :thumbsup:
 
I dont hate the iPhone, I just get amused by some people who queue days to get one. I mean... its just a phone. Have we really become so materialistic in the world? Ok, yes, we have it looks!

I dont understand why people fork out such money for this phone either, it has nothing special on it, the new one looks like the old one, theres nothing on it that other cheaper phones cant do, I mean.... come on here i'm struggling help me out lol!!!!!!!

Me personally I buy a product because it does what I want it do and is priced sensibly. Looking at a lot of the spotty faced kids going into the Apple stores today to pick up theirs, it does make you wonder how they afford one, especially those who take days off work to queue for one!

Also amusing is the defending of the product from fanboys - it seems Apple can do no wrong!! They must be laughing all the way to bank!!

Just to add fuel to the fire and raise the potential of flag burning, world wide riots and beheadings, dare I say it but a lot of people buy an iPhone because they like to show off and to think they are better than others!! :fuelfire:
 
Just received mine :) taking ages for 02 to transfer my number over to the nano simcard :roll:

Yes its an iphone, not overly excited as its just a phone but nice to replace my 5 year old iphone.

For the doom mongers for me the iphone just works, simple to use, and overall a lovely piece of technology. Once you use one if your used to Samsung, Nokias, Sony etc you can see what your paying for. I think those who come from other smart phones to Apple tend not to go back.

Regarding docking, not a problem, will just use my old one for the time being, there will be plenty of cheaper adapters along soon :)

Daren't touch the new phone at the mo as the case hasn't arrived :roll:

The new connector does not transfer iPod audio - apple have gone to wi-fi for that so you can buy all the connectors you like and it won't work. Unless its a 3.5mm headphone jack to 3.5 input or similar.
