3D maps only on 4S.

Must be the McEnroe effect.....

Glad to see Apple had tested their new mapping system - nothing worse than rushing something into production

Why change something that wasnt broken?

Just tracked me phone and has arrived at Brum from Leeds :) Looks like it will arrive tomorrow morning :D

Still using my original 3g bought in 2007, will be sad to pension it off lol.

x 1 This is my point. They've replaced it with something that is inferior. Never mind that we can still look at google maps, they shouldn't have rolled out any changes til they'd got it right imo.

Loving this bit:

>>Satellite images of various locations, particularly in Scotland, are obscured by cloud.>>

True to form :)

I think its a bit much asking for a global mapping system to be right first time. The mapping is much better than the US.

But still embarrassing all the same.

Not like Apple to release something without testing it first <cough>

Why would they when there is an army of people out there who would buy a turd if it had the Apple emblem on it and will swear blind and argue 'till they're blue in the face that the turd is better than anything in the world, ever. One of my best friends is just such a person. How can you take their views seriously when they lack any objectivity?

I like my iPhone 4. I thought it was the best phone for me at that time. When I come to swap next time, something else other than Apple might be or might not be, but at least I will look objectively before deciding rather than blindly buying something i haven't even seen.

Holy crap! Did you just admit that something that came out of Apple isn't brilliant?

Running iOS6 on my iPad and can't really see much difference. The stores are better but it's probably best described as the emperors new clothes.

The maps are total garbage and I really don't see 3D as being any use to me no matter how good or clear it looks. What are people using it for?

I never use maps on my ipad, so upgraded it to ios6.0. 3D looks pretty but pointless.

Unless you have tom tom the maps turn by turn navigation with siri is great... I havent upgraded my 4s so havent used this yet... But then i also have tom tom on it.

The cloud tabs are good, like google chrome on the ipad.

Havent seen the panarama camera function either as its missing on my ipad2.

My 2+ year old HTC Desire has that already.

Infact, tell us something that iO6 gives you that Android hasnt already got out of interest.... ps. Siri isnt new either, Voice search was on Android way before. Not iPhone bashing, but I am interested to know what the iPhone has thats so special that see's "morons" queuing up in the freezing cold outside shops around the world.

.....I actually dont think its the phone, I just think most of them are a bunch of lonely saddo's with no life who just enjoy feeling liked when they walk into the store first thing and get clap's and cheers from the Apple staff.

.... then they go back home, and sit on their iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac, iWhatever and look at Facebook for the rest of the day, fantasing and having erotic dreams of the 5s launch in the next 6 months.

A friend posted a pic of the queue outside the Milton Keynes store at 4am this morning. 150 people ahead of him, 500 behind.

It's only a bloody phone! :headbang:

Picture in the news here,
AppleOberhausen_1056563q.jpg

Queue for the Apple Store in Oberhausen Germany, some people even reported fights :slappy: in the queue and people fainting.

Can only laugh about it to be honest, what an idiots
