Apple announcement

IOS 5 appeared automatically on my phone last time overnight without me loading it. Wonder if the same happens with IOS6 again.
 
Just downloading IOS6 for my ipad. It should be finished this time next week.
Beautiful countryside, empty roads, peace and quiet is the price I pay for shite internet.
 
I'm sure it's not your net the servers will be getting hammered. Took me 6hrs to download IOS5 last time
 
I installed IOS 6 on my iPhone 4 today and it works fine and might even be a bit quicker on some applications... :thumbsup:

You're probably right. I've got 3 mins left.
Don't help that there's some online gaming going on in the house as well. :x
 
Was wondering why my iPad was not recognising the update but from looking on the Apple website it is only the iPad 2 and "New" iPad which has the upgrade, wonder why that would be?
 
Ye its strange as its the same tec as the 3GS so no idea. I have a 1st gen and tried and thought the same.

Just updated my mums iPhone 4 and as I expected it is running like a complete POS. Very slow indeed.
 
I'm done. Will have to run some apps to see if it's any faster. The clock and maps icons are different. Hope that's not it!
 
Just installed on my ipad 2, took 10 mins to dl from the hotel here.

Not impressed though, as i expected googlemaps is so much better :x

Have your maps gone worse than they were before?
 
The new maps from Apple suck but perhaps in time they will get their act together...I hope... :?
 
2.5gb required? Guess this does rule the upgrade out for me, well unless I delete en masse my music and photos - Just a shame iPhones don't take removable SD cards...

Those having trouble with UPS it's because UPS haven't scanned them yet. Once they have the ref number from apple will change and you will be able to track it
