Apparently im never happy ....

A nice e89 25i has just come up sale close to me ...question is will it feel under powered compared to my e85 3.0 ...more weight and 30 hp less ? :?

I suppose it depends on how often you use all of the performance of your 3 litre!

Maybe the best option would be to go and see what it feels like - after all 30i E89s seem to be pretty rare.

It’s not the bhp that’s important on the road, it’s the torque you’re going to notice - as mentioned above, go & give it a go :driving:

Low mileage, and you'll gain front pdc!

But check those wheels for cracks or repairs, especially if it's still on runflats.

Yes it will feel underpowered compared to your 3.0..however I made the same switch with no regrets but the car is a sunny day cruiser to me and I've got my motorbikes for speed kicks, if you like to drive your 3.0 with your foot to the floor often then you're best sticking with a 3.0 e89

Allegedly none of us ever are when it comes to cars/bikes/watches

Enjoy your test drive, just remember to put it in Sports mode as soon as you switch it on, makes a difference

Thanks for all the comments etc. Decided to stick with my e85 for another year or so ...off to find some twisties in Wales tomorrow. May look for a 35i at some point in the future

Sometimes it's better to stick to a car you know.

You could always keep a lookout for a 30i in the meantime!

Anyway enjoy those twisties.
