I drove a Gallardo V10 against an R8 V8 and the R8 was the one I would spend my money on. The V10 version must be great!

That's intresting - I almost posted was it not worth buying a Gallardo rather than modding an R8 - having not driven either

It's funny, a very long time ago they used to refer to the jalpa (remember those) as the poor mans countach, I think this might be the modern take on that lambo sentiment

Interesting, any particular influencers in that thought?
I've always thought of the r8 as a big Audi with a nice suit on, but it does get good reviews on handling and even moderate practicality. But just didn't have the visual impact.
