apocalypse book recommendation?

The Stand is brilliant.

Have a look at I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes. One of the best books I've ever read.

Don't agree about what you say about the end of the Dark Tower Nictrix, I thought it was a brilliant ending.

I was just disappointed. I dont know what I was expecting, but not that.
I suppose it meant he was in purgatory or something.

The Twelve, two very good books indeed, waiting impatiently for the third

I enjoyed those too.

Though I can't remember how they ended.

Of a different and more hopefull ilk ACanticle for Liebowitz by Walter M Miller was strangely upbeat for a post apocalyptic tome.


Read Station Eleven the other day. It was reasonably plotted and not too challenging but a little bit 'lovey'. But readable.

So I'm up to chapter 26 so far. The beginning was a little slow for me, but over time it started to speed up. I'm very much enjoying and not regretting choosing this book. I seem to have a soft spot for nick :lol: I guess it's something about a bullied deaf mute that gets my attention. :roll: gonna be awhile until I finish this book though! If the passage is anything like this book, I will definitely be ordering that book next.

Cheers. I can recommend 'The Survivor' by James Herbert. Quick read enjoyed that one.

After Bing recommended The Stand, I purchased it as well, though in Audible format and boy is this book tedious, I've had more fun at the dentist. I'm 20 hrs in with 27 hrs to go, I'm not sure which addition you've got, but mine is the anniversary or Authors cut which is a few hundred pages longer, will persevere but I can honestly feel myself getting older

You best get cracking, after waiting patiently for four years, City of Mirrors, Book 3 will be released on 16th June and you have The Twelve to finish before then
