Happy Easter you lot ,
Not sure if these are any use to anybody. Ap bbk and all fittings . Spotted them on ebay whilst browsing. Seems like a decent price for front and back .

what a find....Very rare to to see a full set FS in enamel red, pull the trigger buddy. Rear rotors are not AP , pieces however.

You my friend are a bad influence
As much as I'd love to buy them , my daughters got her driving test in a couple of months and I've got to get her a car (bmw obviously) so for now I think I'll have to go down the route of uprating the standard set up when my stock ones have given up .

Worth checking it is a z4m kit as they are not the same as the m3 kit, the bell or bracket is a couple of mm different iirc. Also the hoses will be different at the rear.
Is it that great value? I wouldn't be using those rear discs and the front's I'm fairly certain are not ap, most likely reyland which are pretty useless. A brand new front and rear kit with ap front discs (which themselves cost around £650) is ~£4300.

Fairly sure all the part numbers for the calipers, adapters, discs bells pads etc can be found here if it helps a prospective buyer?

i cant find anywhere the full kit for less than 5k ( in the red anyway which was an additional extra back in the day, may be free now)

I'd have thought you might get a bit of a deal on the two together.

I have an M3 kit - the rear fits without modification but the front callipers needed shimming with 2mm washers.

These are the brakes from Dominic's supercharged z4m, I know the chap who bought the car last year and he's returning it back to standard z4m spec as he bought loads of Z4M parts from me. I nearly did a deal with him for the bilstein b16 coilovers and these brakes but couldn't justify £4k on a summer weekend toy.

I think I met the previous owner at Brands Hatch, was it an interlagos blue z4m roadster, half caged? Had a supercharger that wasn't intercooled, didn't work very well on track unsurprisingly! Nice car anyway.
It should be fairly easy to check which kit the brakes are for though. I have a suspicion the brackets are the same but the hat is different, but my memory has been filled up with other useless info since I looked into it :D

Sure, it's no biggy by any means, but if it were an m3 kit it would just swing it more towards buying a new 'correct' kit in my eyes.
If it is off a Z4M there will be no worries about the rear hoses of course.

Yep that's the one, think he's pulled the SC S54 to transplant into an E36 M3, sounded like a lot or work to then find an S54 to put back I to the Z4M Roadster and sell on.

Mine came from Fishy Dave, so all the work required to make an M3 kit into a Z4M kit had been done :)

He's not shy of a shim here and there is Dave I'll give you that!
I forgot they went your way. He bought an S2000 recently that I'm looking forward to sharing a few races with (first one in two weeks assuming we can get it together in time) :driving:

oooh an s2k race car, now that WILL be fun!

I so very nearly bought an s2k instead of my first Zed Coupe. Undoubtedly the S2k was the better drivers car, a big part of me still wants one now. Race report once you're done please Tom!

That will be great fun. I ran an S2000 as my daily driver in London to keep the miles off my Zed. It was incredibly tail-happy, especially in the wet, but not unpredictable at all. Mine was a 2003 AP1 (so not the very first iteration of the car, but still pre-facelift with the 9000rpm rev limit).

The gear selector mechanism / gearbox was the real star of the show. Mine was more or less stock, except for the ‘UK exhaust mod’ (partial bypass of the rear silencers), additional heat shielding on the air intake, an aftermarket timing chain tensioner (the OEM is made of chocolate) and a (largely cosmetic) strut brace. There is a cone filter inside the air box which means that the car can be driven safely with the air box lid removed. Together with the exhaust modification, this made it sound absolutely crazy!

I don’t think the S2000 is a better driver’s car than a Z4M. I suppose it would be when compared with a 3.0 Z4C, but the 3.0 Zed would likely be faster in most circumstances on the road. Ignoring the propensity for rust, the only real failing of the S2000 is a lack of steering feel.

Tom, give Dave my best wishes please, and tell him the APs are holding up well on >30C track days.

Will do Richard, glad to hear. Excellent brakes no doubt.
I'm looking forward to the s2k a lot, the few previous races I have competed in were in considerably slower cars.
This weighs about 1030kg and has ~240bhp, should be fun. I'm not all that up on them but they appear well designed, double wishbone all round, impressive mid-front engine location, and this particular car has been built to a very high standard. As you say, the epas looks to be a bit of a let down, much like that of the standard z4, but you can't have everything at this price I guess.
This '99 one I think does the 9k, has some kind of cf induction, decatted and a Janspeed exhaust, probably fairly rowdy!
We just need to install a brake booster (currently deleted and neither of us have Popeye legs), finish off the fire suppression plumbing, and get it through it's MOT hopefully.. Dave has been working on getting lights reinstalled and finding a temp CAT solution for the test :P
