Anything wrong with Bosch oil filters?

Hi Guys,

I'm going to be doing an interim oil change on my zed over the weekend - Is there anything wrong with the Bosch oil filters Euro Car Parts sell for the N52 engined Z4's? Or would you stick with an original BMW part (I appreciate that this will also be made by somebody else - Mahle, Mann etc?)

I need to order some service items for one of our other cars and if the Bosch filter's OK then i'll get one of them aswell, saves me going down to the dealership.

Have often found Bosch parts are identical to BMW OEM but put in a BMW box and the price doubled. Would have no hesitation in using the Bosch filter. Rode a BMW R80RT several years ago and the BMW bike club made a list of parts by Bosch and others manufactureres that were identical to OEM but and a fraction of the cost. Saved me a small fortune over the years and the bike ran perfectly.

Perhaps we should do it for Zeds....?

Thanks Alan.

I've ordered one anyway; for the pricely sum of £5.67 with the current 25% off service parts offer Euro Car Parts have running.

I'll update the thread with a quality report when it arrives!
