So Ive got an 03 3.0i with a CD changer and full Carver setup. At the back of the CD changer is the coaxial digital cable which runs to the amp. Im trying to get a Dice module hooked up, so Im using the old one I had in my E46. Ive bought the Dice DSP module, and have followed the instructions as to how to hook it up. Once its all set up, the ipod charges, communicates with the head unit fine, its just there is no sound! I returned the first DSP module I got as I thought it was faulty. The new one I received yesterday does the exact same thing! Im really annoyed as to why it doesnt work. Ive tested the power to the DSP module and its definately getting 12V. Is there some trick to getting it all to work properly?!?!? If anyone can help Id be over the freakin moon...

i read something about the dip switches on the backside of the dice unit needing to be set properly for your setup. perhaps some reasearch into this would prove helpful?

I installed a Dice mediabridge on my 03 3.0i ... It had DSP but not a CD changer. The DSP adapter is basically a converter. The coax cable should be plugged into the adapter - and the other end should be plugged into the amplifier. If I remember correctly, you should be able to unhook it from the CD changer and plug it into the DSP adapter. I mounted the DSP right next to the battery/amp and plugged it to the amp there.

I am by no means an expert, but that is how I understand it.
