So my dealer ordered 2 cars by mistake.
There is a misano blue, with tech and comfort packs currently in production. I believe with the touch screen.
This is due to be delivered dec/Jan.

If anyone wants this, please message me and I’ll send you dealers phone number.
 
Saw the title and my instant thought is that you want to sell your car before it arrives due to missing touchscreen. :rofl:

Catch 22, unfortunately the "For sale" option is only available via the touchscreen. :rofl:
 
That’s funny, I posted similar a while back as they’d done exactly the same, possibly a glitch then?

I remember when I ordered mine they ordered and got a slot on the day but the following day they phoned to say they’d got a slot from another dealer. They forgot to cancel the original, which seemingly the salesperson should do when/if they get a confirmed slot it and it doesn’t match the original exactly.

In my case they had a list of people who took the car in the second slot.

From my understanding it will have the touchscreen!

I don't think you purchase your car via BMW Cambridge, did you? When I ordered my car in May, the dealer told me there is an earlier slot available than the original expected date and asked me whether I want the slot so that the car can arrived about 1.5 months earlier. Without any thinking, I just said yes.

Then, why don't take the one with the touchscreen and let the dealer handle the one that doesn't have?

My one has the touchscreen. Others that won’t have it.
 
Tell the dealer I am prepared to do a strait swap. It's a fair trade, one careful owner and comes fully fitted with it's original whippy which appears to be very much in demand. :poke:

Really interesting this Ori - I wonder if this is standard practice atm rather than a mistake, my dealer told me he had processed 3 orders on my behalf, I would get the first to be built and then he reckoned he could easily sell the other 2 at list - if all dealers are doing this it’s no wonder the waiting list is so long!

No as whilst the picture is of a blue car the description states that it's white with a red interior

Also states that it's for October delivery ???

Nope. This car is currently in production and is misano blue with tech and comfort packs.

Delivery is December/jan.

I went with my friend 3 weeks ago to pick up a mini at a BMW dealer a few hours from our home. I was amazed to see the amount of new cars they had adorning either side of the entance. Including x3's that seem to have some of the longest waits.

Speaking to the dealer it was exactly this they have been creating phantom customer orders. Zero discount on list though. I am not sure if dealers will be making more money as they do not need to discount, or if the supply limits the profits.

I am looking around at potential new cars for wifey and most manufacturers aren't discounting as they all seem to be in the same boat with supply shortages
 
Check on carwow. The VW dealer matched the 12 % discount on a new car.
