Anyone know them? can recommend?

Good prices in new Omegas, so was thinking of a trade up. (I might let my mint Seamaster 300 go for a trade in price too).

Let me know if anyone has a good / bad experience of Iconic Watches (Blackburn).

Cheers!

I've not used Iconic which isn't much help but do look at Watchfinder as their stock although secondhand is pretty much mint and you might get a much better watch than a cheaper one new. They usually hold good stock.I bought my Tag Monaco Gulf from them recently which was 4K and was a little worried as it was secondhand but the condition was 100% mint, they also gave me the best trade in price some 500 quid above other watch retailers I tried against my Tag Carrera. I think they also send watches on approval so if not happy you can send it back. Was very pleased with their proffesionalism. Hope you didn't mind me chiming in.

Thanks Tim.

watchfinder have made me a good offer. These guys just have a nice selection of watches and are easier toget to.

I frequent a watch forum and these guys generally get good feedback, certainly better than Watchfinder. I understand that they source most of their watches from European ADs, so currency fluctuations can affect them. There was some talk about their T & Cs, in particular their returns policy is seen by some to be in breach of whatever they are calling the Distance Selling Regs these days but that only applied to watches that they order for you and not stock pieces. HTH.

No worries if you use them please let us know. Much better if you can visit and see the watch in person so can understand. I took the risk based on good feedback about the company and spoke to Watchfinder a fair bit about the condition of the watch I was interested in and only bought on the proviso if not as described it would be sent back lol. They were the only retailer who had the watch I wanted at the time otherwise it mean buying abroad, Italy/Greece which I felt was just too risky for the amount of money I was spending.

Only thing with Watchfinder is their prices seem at the higher end which is probably why they offer a decent trade in price.

My own experience with Watchfinder is that they were perfectly pleasant to deal with when I bought a new watch from them but hopeless and quite rude when I enquired about a vintage piece. The guys on the front line are salesmen with no in depth knowledge.

Also check what you are getting before you agree the deal. Make sure they are including (if relevant) the original box and papers and any other bits that came with the original packaging. Don't presume anything with them.

I bought my Tudor Black Bay from Iconic. Cannot fault them. Excellent comms, brand new watch, excellent price and super fast delivery. They have a very good reputation so use with confidence.
