Anyone use the BlueDriver ODB2 reader & app?

Hi guys,

I am reading for the last few hours in this huge world. I find a lot of information, but unfortunately a lot of it is really old.

I have a 2007 Z4M Roadster and I am looking for code reading / reset functionality.

I read really good comment on the BlueDriver system like this one

Anyone uses it with their Z4?

As this appears to be a device for North American cars then perhaps it is not surprising that not many use it in the UK.

If you want it simple on an android phone get either a Bluetooth or Wifi ELM327 OBD2 Interface from ebay and use it with an App like Torque that is free or full App for little money. It will read codes and give you live data and clear codes.
Personally I use a Windows 7 laptop loaded with variouse Diagnostic software, BMW INPA, BMW Scanner 1.4 and Gendan Engine Check Pro. The simplest for BMW is BMW Scanner 1.4 that will read all modules on your car clear codes and give you the ability to code some of the options.
INPA is a lot more involved and can be a pain to install but once up and runninhg is fine for the entire range of BMW Models.
I do like my Gendan Engine Check Pro as its ability to select sensors and display good graphs in live data is very clear, it also works on my other makes of cars in the family.

Are all those options will let you clear the airbag codes? Seems like this thing is one of the big no-go with many generic application.

There is also a standalone airbag tool that is cheap but works fine, its a B800 and available on ebay, you need a 20pin to 16pin OBD2 changer cable if you have the 20pin Pacman Diagnostic socket in the engine compartment, Z3's have 20pin and 16pin sockets but on those airbag module is only readable using the 20pin socket. Z4's will use the 16pin OBD2 socket in the car.
