Looking at safer ways to car tinker than creaking axle stands and just asking if anyone has one of these to use or advice on them ?

Having just serviced the Z and Volvo , crawling about on the floor 'at my age' this looks a fantastic solution!

My thoughts exactly Stupot. I aint no spring chicken and always worried about the car being safe. Looks ideal and even have a Zed on their photos showing a good working height. Folds flat and easy to store and other than buying them , cant see a downside yet !

This statement, from the FAQ page is where I nearly fell off my chair :

Is the QuickJack safe?
If you compare the number of people killed or injured annually using floor jacks or jack stands to other car lifting solutions, it's evident that the QuickJack provides increased safety when installed and operated properly.

Er, I'd like to see evidence of that 'evidence'.

In other words, yeah, ninkumpoops still get killed using jack stands and of course our quickstand can still kill you, but just not as much....maybe.

Just watched a few videos , it looks very good.
Only problem is getting the Ok from my better half.
Think I'll drip feed that one over a few months!

Hands up who died using Quickjacks ? Awesome................... no one
...that you know of...
how would you/anyone ever find out?

If that jack fails and breaks your neck, don't come running to me!!

But actually I am sure they are every bit as safe as any other lightweight support.

Think its the same one Ben !

The Costco one has a different model number. I think it can hold more weight than the one in the original link.

Just checked, original one holds up to 3500 lb's. Costco one holds 5000lb's

Costco usually have them in their warehouses at cheaper prices than they advertise on their website. Might have a look next time I pop in there.
