Anyone tried Philips Ultinon LED H7 headlights or suggestions?

Just got an E86 and err... enjoying ye olde worlde headlights experience in the dark

Has anyone had success (eg. they're brighter, fit, don't dazzle, flicker, cause CANBUS issues or cause MOT headaches) with Philips Ultinon LED H7 or another quality LED bulb?

On this topic, I need a new drivers side headlight for my e85 (pre-facelift, halogen). They appear to be rather than rocking horse...

Has anyone had any experience with this (or similar) and do you think these are compatible?

Someone must be making them still, I just had one fitted, by a bodyshop so no idea where they got it or for how much.
 
If you can find them and they will fit, I campaign my rally car with Phillips RacingVision bulbs, they are excellent.
