Anyone seen this before iphone owners

Yeah, seems awesome and then you see the price. That said if/when I end up with disposable income I may hit this up.

When this first came out I extensively searched google for uhm "alternate" methods of having a wifi signal converter doohickey thing instead of dishing out (at the time) 200 dollars for the adapter. No luck.

Hmm, now that I think about it though, I'll run it by my buddy, he's got a degree in electrical engineering....

one of those companies that make one of the adapter is actually located right nearby where I work. I will look to see if I can get a cheaper price.

Looks similar to dynolicious

Yes, from what I've read it does a few of the same things Dynolicious does. What I don't know is, how accurate Rev would be compared to Dynolicious.
The big difference is Rev will actually read real time data from your cars computer.

Dynolicious uses the iphones (and now blackberry) various accelerometer's and maybe GPS (I'm not sure about GPS) to determine your 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times, G-meter (skidpad). Once it gets some of those numbers it magically (magic to me anyways) tells you your horsepower both at the wheels and the estimated HP at the crank.

I talked with my friend about possibly developing a knock off wifi interface and basically was told it's something he'd need a lot of various support on, like a team of engineers.

Sort of on topic: Iphone coming to Orange before christmas for us brits. Could be interesting to see what kind of deals emerge from it.

yeah as apple have invoked a break in the contract with o2, o2 will no doubt be able to re negotiate the deal, but the end user will still pay a high cost, im happy on o2 payg iphone 3gs, dont think ill change until the next model comes out, and ill be staying payg, dont use the phone as a phone that much - more for people to call me. i have been toying with going to a touch but i dont like carrying multiple things.

I'm still tossing the idea around of getting a 3GS. Especially since they are doing this new network thing now. When does that happen anyways?

vodafone is next year, dont know about orange. plus there is always a new model around june/july. my advise is to wait until then, or pick up a cheap used 2nd gen/ 3g model until the new ones out. im a tech geek so always upgrade when the new ones out, the iphone is the only gadget id say is worth its money, its not perfect but better than any other phone for me, stick an fm radio and a decent camera with flash in it and it would be perfect.
