Anyone seen the 101 M spoke wheels on a Z?

i like those 101's, 5 spoke just screams 1990's to me, but will agree if you have some good brake discs behind they show them off. saying that im happy with my ellipsoids, only other wheels id consider are the alpina roadster million spoke ones.

I really like the 101's, I've sugested them on a couple of what wheel threads before. Multi / Cross spoke wheels really seam to suit BMWs.

What wheels do you have on yours Topup? The ones I have posted set themselves apart because they are recessed (deep dish) alloys making them more appealing to me. I really would love to see a pic of the deep dish 101s on a Z4 to make my mind up. BMW can't supply one it seems!

Lets just hope that the new version of the 108s will be corrosion free! The dealer told me that he has only ever replaced a pair of 108s on the coupe.

Lucy, you have a very similar car - are your wheels mint or are there signs of corrosion on yours?

Mine are in rather good condition, the car is only a year old so we'll have to see how it goes.

Mine is just over a year old and I look after it very well - but here is the worst wheel. Bad eh!?

Keep an eye on them though! I had 2 rears replaced after the car was only around 8 months old! Look behind the spider on the rim inside. :wink:

Its amazing really, isnt it! Did your replacement have the new tougher laquer? Do they look any different? All 4 of mine have corroded? Did your corroded ones look like mine do in the pic?

Yes they did look the same as yours, but only near the spider, not onto the centre of the rim. The new ones have the new, what looks like, grey plastic coating. Do a search on here as there are some pics somewhere. :wink:

I recently got an ex-display one as a spare from ebay for £20 this one, I believe they might corrode at some point because the lip is un-painted just like the 108s.

having worked at BMW and BMW bodyshop when I was a student I'd be surprised if BMW knew about this seller! We had to bin everything- the shop guys could buy stuff cheap for themselves but that was it really,

There are a few BMW dealers listed on ebay, most of them selling crap tho

I've got CSL's on mine, they really suit the coupe in my opinon. The pics Danny Boy posted up ARE 101's, but I think they may be 19"s so might not have the same dish as 18"s would.
I often see a 6 series fitted with 101's parked up, they don't seem as deep dished as the picture you posted but they're still a lovely looking wheel.

Good work!!! I really like these and the rarity factor appeals.
The ones I linked to are from the brochure and seem to have a SLIGHTLY different look to these in that they are deep dish and these don't seem to be. If they let me go for it, I will do it!
