I can feel much more of the road, which on rough roads makes me nervous, but on nicer roads the difference is just so hard to believe. I really don't know how much lighter these are, can't be much surely. Still a bit staggered how much different they feel, I thought only tyres would make much difference to a cars feel, but they're the same tyres I had on the 296s so its got to be the 313s.
On a negative, it also makes imperfections harsher, so I'm going to use all 306bhp to get me into some non RFTs asap. Still smilin'
My VMR's were only a kg or so heavier then my 108's... Yet drastically changed my driving experiance.

Just took a small nick out of a rear... parked and clipped the kerb.. 3 grooves, 4mm each in a 2 inch line (stones protruding from kerb stones).

Four pints down... its not fixed the wheel tho... I'm resigning myself, slowly to leaving it that way, as I'll likely do more given its a daily driver. I've located a place in Manc that does diamond cut repairs so I'll sort it with them as and when. Just so annoyed as my prior 296's are spotless, and have been for years. The moment I spend a bomb on new wheels...
They call it sods law! I had my e85 for three years and not a mark on it. I got my e89 and took it to Germany on holiday a week later, at the first hotel we stopped at I took a lump out of the front parking it! The old car didn't have parking sensors on it, the new one does but I thought I could just squeeze a little bit closer.

I really could cry.... Its minor, but I know its there, and things like this bug me to death.
But I've found somewhere that can make it good as new for £80... not spending that yet tho as the damage doesn't warrant it. Least I have the option. Its mainly the lacquer then dents into the metal from the small stones protruding from the kerb stone. It was bright white, the damage, so I've used the paint they supplied with the wheels (for any inner chips) on the outer, then lacquered over the top to prevent water ingress. I'll learn to ignore it over time... maybe.
Thankfully from some angles you can hardly notice it (bottom left spoke)...

I had my car a week, took it on the ferry (a nightmare packed like sardines) had a wonderful drive down thro Holland and Germany in the sunshine - then wallop! My fault, nobody else! What made it worse for me was the parking sensors were going mad - but I knew best!!!:x
