Anyone running with remap DME tuning on 28i from Celtic, SA Tuning etc ?

I know I'm probably going off topic now, but have you thought about a tuning box instead?

Yes I have gadgetJunky72, been checking around, so far seems like JB4 comes up tops as far as tech support is concern.
Yes am aware of certain limitations but as in anything if we aren't greedy it should be ok. Perhaps the best method for me
might be to get a DME re map with handheld device for tuning but then again if there's no proper Tech Support it's as good
as nothing. LOL

Thanks again

Ok Gents,
Need final advice pls as Im gonna decide which way to go. My only option if I go ECU remap is online as there's no tuner or dyno at where I am.
Basically we're all at the mercy of whoever provides the mapping service. So far Im looking at Celtic or SA tuning as they have an hand held device for fine tuning etc & can be use to reset factory codes etc. What matters for me is tech support to assist in fine tuning with data logs etc.
So question is whose basic ECU mapping is the best & who can provide good tech advice & support for me.
Frankly I've been in touch with JB4 yes am aware of it's limitations but their response to my emails are always immediate & this gives me a sense of comfort & confidence. Took a look at BM3 unfortunately nothing for 28i. Your thoughts pls

Thanks again Gents for your advice & guidance

I think piggyback units are generally trash but your situation is limiting choices.

With the remote mapping I wouldn't expect anything from either SA or Celtic. My expectation would be any custom tuning on the base maps would require input from a third party. I don't think companies like Celtic have the expertise in house to customise tunes, they are just resellers.

The base map from both companies is going to better than what a piggyback unit is able to offer. So worst case scenario you would still be better off with the proper ECU map.

Thanks again R.E92. Yep wish that Im still living in the UK or States.
Was in UK for 3 yrs for my studies, time flies its been like 35 yrs ago.
Now already an old fart. Lol

Many thanks again
