Anyone running a Golf Mk 8 1.4tsi hybrid? Or 2 series 225xdrive?

So, it’s company car time again…

List has got even smaller and costs have gone up (the latter point is no surprise :rofl: )

I can’t go fully electric as I have to drive to London and back from Bristol every three weeks and the charging infrastructure near St Bart’s is non-existent (only 1 charge point in the NCP).

So I’m considering either a 2 series 225xdrive tourer or a MK8 golf 1.4TSI (both are plug in hybrid’s that meet the lower tax bracket due to electric only range of over 40 miles. The golf effectively costs about £80 a month less than the 2 series.

Can anyone provide any insight into either vehicle?

Drive them both, that is a must. I have driven a few cars before ordering my next one and even though on paper they were matched, in real life they were horrendous

I will do, but just wondered if anyone had been running one for a while and could offer a view

My neighbour as the tourer and he absolutely loves it. I test drove the Golf and hated the engine.
