Anyone regretted having the CDV mod?

Had mine done by a local indy and can't say I've noticed much difference? I must be a crap driver!

Are you sure they didn't just charge u & left it in... Should be a noticable difference.

Change in mine was from feeling clutch was on the way out to being able to drive the Growler without the indignity of sometimes looking like a Muppet

Jembo, removing the CDV has a much more marked effect with the 3 litre than with the ///M - I'm not sure which model jamesgarbett drives.

Smeg, I'm in the Wimbledon area too, is yours an ///MR or ///MC, and what colour?

Hi BMWZ4MC,

An //MC of course :fuelfire: dark silver! Live in Norbiton and commute to Wimbledon via Edge Hill to drop my son off at school. A rather nice commute however jobless in March

I finally had mine removed last weekend :yeah:

All thanks to Nosa, I wouldn't have been able to do it myself...

Big difference. Stops the hiccup on 1st to 2nd shifts, and makes downshifting much better too. Strangely the car feels much faster too... Might be placebo effect, but now that the hiccup on 1st to 2nd shifts is gone, the 0-60 sprint feels faster :)

Not a lot in it for an M, 2dogs. I changed one for a forum member, drove it - felt no difference so did not bother doing my own.

2.5 and 3.0 is very good, I noticed the difference a lot with my old 3.0. That was why the M was such a disappointment when I changed it and it made next to no difference.

I'm not bothering. Decided to learn how to change lower gears better with the ///M gearbox and CDV present instead. Getting there.

Same. I've had my ///M for about 6 months now. Got on here back then and came away convinced I'd need to get it done, but never got around to it. I have no problem driving the car (often in heavy traffic) so won't be bothering to make the change now.

I've used a tailor just up the road from you, and live the other side of Wimbledon, I'll make sure I look out for you...
Sorry to hear about the work situation. Hope something comes up soon and you can keep the ///M.
