Anyone Plastidipped their z4 emblem?

I am thinking of Plastidipping my z4 emblem on the boot in black as a subtle mod as not sure about a complete debadging yet. Has anyone done it? Is it easy to do? Is it resilient enough to last? Any experience with Plastidip? It appears a good way to make subtle temporary changes quickly.

I de-badged mine a couple of weeks ago, easy to remove the badges but depending on your method just be more careful than I was when prising it off, i snapped the joined 'si' into two letters. :headbang:
Have used plastidip in the past, would definitely recommend it, Should definitely last against the elements, comes off easy too.
I personally prefer the finish of a matte black paint but plastidip makes it less of a task and as you say.. temporary

gonna do the side badges too?

My tips. Lots of thin coats and spray from a good few inches.

just de-badge sharpy. you know you want to!
faffing about with plastidip. come on! :poke:

get behind me Satan  Does de-badging have any effect when/if you were to sell?

I've done my wheels, badges, grilles, exhaust tips and rollover covers in Matt black. I think it all came out quite nicely.

Chris had to de-badge it to make it easier on his hands when he has to push it :poke:

Looks nice  how easy are the badges to get off? Or did you leave them on and plastidip them insitu and peel excess off? Did you also change the bmw badges on bonet, boot and indicators for carbon fibre type?? :D

Who cares about selling! A car this good looking does not need silly badges...it turns heads just from the look of it + people always say 'what is that' - if you have a badge you've no reason to go...its a Z4 (is there anything cooler than saying that and still getting a IDK WTF that is expression).

Thanks, I left the badges on and peeled the excess off after it dried. That's the big benefit of Plasti Dip, no need to remove before painting.

I haven't changed the BMW emblems at all, that would be sacrilege I reckon

I just sprayed my with some black Plastidip. Easy to do, didnt make a mess and was a half way house to debadging. I may although, decide to debadge mine
