brake calipers? thinking of painting mine silver but not sure, thought they would match the mirrors

I painted my existing Z4's red as did a lot of owners on the old Z4UM site
 
I'm going to see how the wheel hubs go in terms of rust, and may paint them in the spring. They look ok-ish at the moment, but the back ones are starting to show a few spots on them. :x
 
Yes had the dealer paint mine silver. They did a good job too. Looks good and it won't do the usual BMW corroding thing!

Did they paint the hubs also? Looks good :thumbsup:

Is the headlamp washer sticking up slightly in the first photo? I'm sure that mine sit flat to the bumper. :?

Yes I think they did. Didn't ask for that either.


Well spotted on the washer! I never noticed that!

Just been out to try it and it was fine but after a couple of tries of the washers it stayed up slightly! Pushes back down OK.

Will take it do dealers next week to get it checked!
 
Breaker - the painted brakes and hubs look great! Neat decision to get the brakes done and handy the hub job got thrown in
 
I don't understand why BMW don't paint the hubs and brakes like most other manufacturers do?

You are at the mercy of your dealer as to whether your brakes fur up dependant on how aggressive the solution is they use to clean the wheels with otherwise!

I had white streaks etched all over the brakes on my first MINI because of a dealers cleaning agent when I took it in for a service!!

Just an update on that headlamp washer not returning into the bumper.
The dealer tried to fix it last week but to no avail so they ordered me a new unit. Fitted this morning. All OK now. :thumbsup:

No idea why it went wrong though! :?
