Hi Zedfolk and Merry Christmas,
As I was washing the car in the arctic wind yesterday afternoon I noticed a cable attached to a couple of brackets dangling down behind the rear bumper just near to the exhaust tips (see pic.)
I suspect it may be the radio antenna but does anyone know for sure?
Also, how best to get it back to where it belongs without having to remove the rear bumper or would it be ok to remove the two brackets and epoxy the cable to the underneath of the bumper? I've just gaffer taped the wole lot under the rear bumper for the time being.

On those plastic brackets the tabs are broken off anyway, so you can only glue them back in place on the rear crash bar or mount differently. The brackets serve as a distancing element to keep the wire away from other metal
 
Thanks for the replies. I'll probably glue it to the underside of the bumper at some point.
