Hi everyone, new to the forum. Seen this posted on Autotrader today. Rang the dealer and they were fairly vague. Anyone recognise this car/ could shed some light on its history etc?
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201901163993702?minimum-badge-engine-size=3.0&colour=Blue&advertising-location=at_cars&postcode=nn143ag&model=Z4&sort=price-desc&page=2&make=BMW&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=Used

Many Thanks

Might be worth a test drive and get any error codes looked at even though it's a hatchback!

Whippy on it so possibly not a forum car.

It'll probably require a bit of work on it to get it up to spec but looks decent enough. Bushes, tyres, service, springs etc.

Nothing coming up on the Google for that reg.

MOT required it looks like.

MOT History looks decent with only one fail in 2013....

Date tested
11 November 2013
FAIL
Mileage
35,999 miles
MOT test number
9686 7511 3343
Test location

Reason(s) for failure
Offside Rear Tyre has ply or cords exposed (4.1.D.1b)
Advisory notice item(s)
Nearside Front Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)
Offside Front Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)

Possibly a low number of owners too so might be worth looking at it even though it's not a Roadster!

WBAC said 5+ owners.
I rang the dealer, the guy seemed a little sketchy, claimed 4 owners..

Also said it’s had new brakes all round. I said when and have you got the paperwork... He said no idea and no, but they’re 100% new. Hmmmm not sure😂

Agreed. Going to look tommmrow. Will update you when I know more. What do you reckon to the price? Doesn’t seem too bad imo

No idea of the price being good or bad and it's worth what the buyer wants to pay if the seller agrees.

There's a thread on Coo Pee prices. https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=78216&start=660

That might give you a better idea on the current state of hatchback prices. Service history, car condition, mileage and what might need to be done to it to take into consideration obviously.

If you have access to a code reader it might help.

Make sure you read the FAQ on the E85 / E86 main forum page.

Ahem, here goes - some of us forum members prefer whippies. There, I've said it, now I'm going to get my tin hat on!

You're not alone - mine had a stubby when I got it, but now it's got a proper one.

You probably need it with all the extra tin in the roof causing interference! :poke:

I don't do any painting so it's not a problem.

Must be hard to hear anything with all the rubble rolling around in the skip though!

Surprised at that.

Would have thought hatchback owners always have some junk in the boot so the extra weight at the back would help lower the car a bit to get that puddle off the ironing board back end when it rains.

I was thinking maybe we should have a poll on which aerial type is the most popular but im not sure what reception it would get.
Sorry for the thread hijack OP!
