Looked at this today and have provisionally said yes. Does anyone know the car?

Looks nice, are the sports seats electric, check the 108 wheels to see what condition their in. Does look nice in black
 
I'm trying to upload a video of the engine on tick over - sounds like a slight knock to me however, I don't know the N52 engine so I could be very wrong.

There's a known issue on the N52 with a slight tick from the top end, (think its hydraulic tappets but cant remember exactly) especially if its been stood. The good thing is its not a major deal, more of an annoyance as such but obviously you need to know what it is before buying. Hopefully someone with first hand experience will add to this.

Nice car by the way but I think you've been duped, its not a Porsche! :poke: :rofl:
 
Haha it's not a Porsche - I had the same thought!!

I've read up on the tappets but it's not those, it feels like a slight grumble.

If it doesn't go after a few seconds then there is an underlying issue. If it's there after a minute or so I would not touch.

Make sure it's not just the ticking injectors though.
 
Definately not injectors - it a deeper rumble than that and it sounded lower in the engine than the head.

Daft question, but it was definitely in the engine rather than one of the ancillaries. Something along the lines of a pulley bearing noise that sort of thing.
 
I hope the black one checks out OK - that 2-tone interior looks fantastic! :thumbsup:
 
Does the noise go away if the clutch pedal is depressed? If so, it might be the dual-mass flywheel.

I had this problem when I first bought mine but the noise went away after the DMF and clutch were replaced under warranty by Barons of Farnborough.
 
I've got some video of it but I'm not sure how to upload it.

It not in the box as you can hear it when stood in front of the car - it does sound like a knock.

The box does sound like a bag of spanner when you switch the engine off.
 
Don't know mate but I've decided to walk away - there's stronger cars for the same money
