Anyone know of where I might find style 224 wheels?

Without selling my soul (or first born child...)?
I can find many posts from a few years back, but very little today, and nothing in NZ. Would pay shipping if I could find somewhere with reasonable fees (I don't live on Mars). Not expecting much luck, but thought I'd throw this out here and see if anything comes up.
For reference, Style 224's look like this:

was looking my self on ebay this morning & nothing! Theres 3 individual ones (tatty) for £120 each - but no full sets! hens teeth spring to mind!

Sets do pop up in the UK usually for around £400ish.

Not sure how much postage would be. Have you asked at your local dealers for a price for some new?

Might be a bit of a risk just being sent some without someone you trust checking them first to make sure they are in as described condition and not twisted etc

I'm gonna have a set for sale in a couple of weeks.
Had the car 3wks & not a fan really.
I've just got new alloys so when I change then they'll be up for grabs.
Good condition, a few stone chips, one small curb on one. Michelin pilots on the front with good tread left 5-6mm
Rears have continental's on maybe 3-4.
When I get them off I'll have a detailed description with pictures.

I posted on here in the hope that there might be members (with good history on the forum) that will have some sooner or later. You're right in that it's a risk they might turn out to be cracked/damaged.
I checked the one and only local dealer here, they're still available new but would cost me around the equivalent of about £1,600 - without tyres. It would guarantee perfect condition, but I'm not willing to go to that level.

Very interested. I'll have to do some research on shipping. May be more economical to ship without tyres - not sure how much weight they add?
Thanks for the reply.

I'll probably be selling mine before the end of the year too. They're in need of refurbishing, but I used them only as track wheels for around four years and not at all for the last two years, so there's no chance of any structural damage from pot holes or kerbstones. IIRC they have PS2s on the front and Goodyear Asymmetric 2 on the rear all in reasonable condition.

I'd probably buy them with tyres, just let most of the air out, yes it will add weight but they also provide a lot of protection to the wheels once they are in the hands of a courier

Thanks for the response. I'm talking with cracker at the moment so I'll see how his wheels work out, otherwise I'll be in touch regarding yours.
Cheers.

There a new sets on German ebay from a dealer - they won't ship outside Germany but it may be worth seeing if you could have them collected by a courier.

Good idea.... except did you see where I live :P

Edit: actually now that I think about it, DHL, FedEx, etc etc are all just International couriers so what you said does make perfect sense. Thanks for the idea.

Crikey - I'm overwhelmed :o . I thought this would be mission impossible, but you guys have really responded to the call  .
I'm still looking at shipping costs - haven't got anything definite yet. Please give me a day or so to find out what this will cost and I'll work out what will be the best option.
Cheers all.

I have set for sale, I am only looking to cover my cost and I would ship NZ.

Thanks, appreciate the offer. I'm looking at Cracker's first, then possibly BMWZ4MC's. I will definitely keep your offer in mind, but don't want to put you out by agreeing to anything then backing out.
Cheers.
